Many companies have adopted a new style of interviewing, that of behavioral interviews. The simple, tell me your three weaknesses has now changed to, tell me a time one of your weaknesses was challenged.
Here’s a list of common behavioral questions:
- Tell me about a time you worked effectively under pressure.
- Have you ever made a mistake? How did you handle it?
- Describe a decision or change that you made that wasn’t favorable amongst others.
- How do you handle challenges? Please provide an example.
- Tell me about a time you reached a goal, how did you achieve it?
- How do you set goals for yourself?
- Provide me an example of a time you worked on a team.
- Tell me a time you experienced a difficult situation with a coworker. How did you handle it?
- Tell me a time you experienced a difficult situation with a supervisor. How did you handle it?
- Have you ever disagreed with your manager? Explain.
- Share a time that you were able to motivate employees or coworkers.
These behavioral based questions can be tricky but with a little preparation and a sample of experiences you will have no trouble answering them quickly and flawlessly.
